Kristy Bridges, was born in 1978, in Tazwell, VA. She grew up in a small town of Davy, WV and graduated from Mt. View High School in 1996 with honors in Arts. It was during her high school years that she became very enthusiastic about arts, with a focus on oil paintings.
She moved to Fountain Inn, SC in late1997 where she met her husband of Simpsonville. They are married with two children and own JMB Builders, LLC. They currently live in Honea Path, SC.
After the children grew up and Kristy had more time on her hands, she began to slowly start working on her artwork again. In June 2022 she took a throwing class. Never having worked with clay, this was an incredibly unique experience for her. It was then that she found an entirely new love for art and a different median.
She is self-taught in hand-built pottery and works from home, calling it, “The Mudhole @ Kristy’s Place.” It is therapeutic and brings joy to her life.
